Another night goes down in the annals of history to be remembered forever more. And it's all thanks to the awsome talents and contributions by the following people. Sienna, Zelda, Queeny, Cathryn, Dale, Martin, Russell, Evan, Neil, and Vince. There was lots of band action tonight as we all supported each other to really max out the fun factor for everyone. Yaayyyy!

Yet another awesome one thanks to those who came along. Tonights treats included Zelda, Martin, Neil, Eddie, Russel, Daniel, Daniele and Simone. Simone gave us the great pleasure of what is reported to be her first public performance on solo guitar and vocals and it was sublime. As usual the end jamming was an all in affair and reached even greater heights than ever before with special mention to the multi and amazingly talented Danny Boys.

Expect the unexpected at Music Lab! Every night as the experiment continues, you never know what's going to happen, but something always does and almost every time it is a most pleasantly delightful surprise! Take tonight for example when we had the most wonderful duo turn up in the form of Daniel and Daniele, two incredibly talented musicians who performed a sublime set of bluegrassy tunes with sweet vocals and high speed intricate guitar picking. Martin suggested they be called "The Danny Boys". Expect only that something special will happen every night at Music Lab.

Despite the wind and the rain outside the stars were shining bright at Music Lab tonight warming the hearts and souls of all who attended. What better way to start another great night than with the ever amazing Zelda kicking it all off. Then we had a new player by the name of John who reeled off a sweet set of beautiful originals with Ken and I backing up on drums and bass. Then it was enter Neil and friends (Russel/bass,Martin/guitar and Dave/drums) to deliver some cool covers that got us all in the mood for jamming the night away. Then Martin took over for the next equally cool set with the same group backing up for some good ol covers plus a new original too from the magnificent one. And then ... and then ... we were all extremely please to once again welcome Eddie back on stage after being over in Western Australia for the last few months. Eddie may have been a tiny bit tipsy, but his star shone bright as ever in his usual give all you got style. Eddie was joined by James on drums and later also Keys on guitar and a little bit of me on bass. After that the big jam fest was on and for the rest of the night it was just hit after hit as we all got in on the act and gave our selves to the great god of music. Special mention goes to drummer Dave who has been lending us his electronic drum kit for the last few months. Thanks Dave!

A great night as usual. An interesting start with 6 year old Sienna playing drums while mum Natalie looked on. Also we had Terry and ?? joining in for a whole lota fun. Then we had the pleasure of Neil and Martin turning up followed by Fergus and ???. So for the rest of the night we jammed to our hearts content with Vince dropping in on vocals whenever he was not tending the bar. Reached some really high points when the band got into full swing and with Sam and Sarah providing unswerving audience support. Yayyy!

Another lovely evening thanks to a great little group in attendance. Mick turned up for the second time to do the first set with random Fergus drums and me on bass backing him up. Then we had Zelda doing yet another great set that was well received as usual. That was followed by Jeremy (guitar) and Emily (vocals) and Tony (bass) who put in a really good combination and delivered a very popular set. Then it was time for Neil (guitar and vocals) to get us all up with a full band consisting of awesome Russel (bass), Martin (guitar), me (guitar), Vince (vocals) and Fergus (drums). Then it was Martin's turn and we all backed him up this time. After that Jeremy and friends did another set. And finally we finished off with another great jam and special mention goes to the multi talented Russel playing drums really well too! Thank you all for another great night.

Early in the night we had new first timer Steve come and play a great set with some backup from me. Then later on we had the great pleasure of Andrew and Paul from the Cashmere Revolution performing an absolutely awesome set. Then to make a great night even better we top it all off with the lovely Cathryn, Errin, Heather and Cat all turning up to charm us all. And as if that wasn't enough we also had the great pleasure of performances from Neil and Martin and bass player Russel (who also played some drums and piano).

A number of first timer's made tonight yet another wonderful evening. Firstly there was first timer Michael who turned up with an assortment of equipment including backing tracks. We jammed a bit at the start of the night before he delivered his set which included a rendition of Narrelle (by Brian). Then we had first timer Brian who brought his amp and the cutest little guitar and was the composer of the afforementioned Narrelle song which happened to be the winner of the Narrelle competition held at TC a few months ago. Then we had the dual delights of Zelda followed by Neil. Zelda has been away up north and it was great to see her again, and Neil was in fine form sounding really good on lead guitar and having his effects really humming, and with first timer Russel backing him up on bass it was an awesome set. Also we had the return of the wonderful Dave who is the owner of our electronic drum kit performing tonight. Then we had Brenden, and first timer Anthony (and Vanessa), turning up and we did a bit of a set with Brenden on bass and Anthony on drums. After that it was back over to Neil for a Hendrix set from which we moved into jam mode for the rest of the evening.

What a luvly night. We had first time performances by Jeremy, Emma and Rachael. Also Martin, Brenden and Amanda came down to visit. We all took turns playing and after that we had a nice bit of jamming with Vince joining in on the vocals.

What an amazing beautiful and excellent night. Many thanks to Queenie, Cathryn, Cat, Heather, Dale, Neil, Martin, Ken and Vince. Lots o fun playing and jamming was had by all. Many thanks to all who came to make it such a great night.

What a lovely night. As always Music Lab often surprises and delights when you least expect it. We had a good turn out of lovely performers this evening. It all started with new first timer Renee, then we were treated to the "Incredible Zelda" followed by the "Awesome Neil" and the "Fabulous Cathryn". Other contributors included "Martin the Magnificent", Evan on bass and drums, George and Ken on drums, and "Vince the Long Haired" on vocals. Support was well provided by Heather and Cat and Hairy amongst others. The end of the night was heaps of fun with a lot of band jamming going on.

A quiet mainly acoustic night tonight. James and Martin turned up and Brenden came in late too. One special "Music Lab first" happened tonight though ... a guy turned up with double bass. I tried playing it and man was it hard!!

Tonight was a fond farewell to our good friend Eddie who has been reliably wowing us nearly every week this year. Eddie is an awesome vocalist and he will be sadly missed as he is heading over to Perth for a few months. It was also another awesome night thanks to all the great artists who came out to play. Cathryn joined me for some divine covers at the start of the evening. Martin played early and released a great new dark new original upon us. Many many thanks to Amy and Gene for a most polished and impressive, and mostly original duo performance that got the dancers dancing. Zelda was in fine feline form, and Neil delivered an ever improving performance. We also enjoyed very much the triumphant return of musical commedian Clint Gibbon. And then Eddie finally got up with band (Ben and James) to deliver an addictive end to the evening that was very very hard to stop come closing time. And finally I have to mention how much I appreciate the fabulous support and regular performances of Martin, Cathryn, Zelda and Neil. For any other contributors whose names I can not remember I also extend to you my great thanks.

What a beautiful night! Really enjoyable evening tonight thanks to a couple of really special performances and some brand new Music Lab talent. Started off with some great backing from Dave and Brenden for my set. Then Zelda gave us some of her awsome cool tunes. After that Carolyn treated us to some great originals for the first time at Music Lab. Followed by Tommy the singing photographer who delivered some great Beatles with style and panache. Then Cat and Queeny teamed up for some rockin girl action. Which was topped off with a very tasty cheese platter from Queeny. Then we were all blown away by the super sensitive and soulfull Yvonne for the first time at Music Lab. Then we were treated to a reprise from the ever impressive Cat. And after that we had Jordan and friends surprise us all with an awesome impro set. And then Neil got up to deliver some great and timeless classics for our mutual enjoyment. Then for the first time ever at Music Lab we had the pleasure of a comic performance from Clint Gibon (alias Jordan). And finally to top off the whole night it was time for a few awesome renditions of some recent classics by Eddie and friends. Many thanks to Larry, Ben, Steve for some excellent backings on a few tracks too. Wow! What and action packed night. Woooo! Thank you all! Love your work!!!

Another crazy good night Many thanks to Martin, Tohe, Neil, Zelda Brenden, Dave Bourke, Dave Farquar, Stephen Farrel, Janice, Ken Cooper Dave Amy Eddie

We had a few really special moments this evening. Firstly there was when we managed to get Tohe up for a bit and she delivered some awesome vocals to blow us all away. Then later we had the absolute pleasure of hearing first time Music Lab performer Amy who wowed us all with some truly beautiful originals performed solo with acoustic guitar and vocals. Apart from that we must not forget all the joy brought to the evening by all the other great contributors who included: Martin, Neil, Zelda, Amy (new MLer) , Eddie, Ben, Evan and Ken Cooper. Also met Suze, mother of Greer who came to see Greer who had unfortunately cancelled at the last moment in order to come along next week instead.

Wow - what an awesome night. My heart felt thanks goes out to all the talented performers who came along to bless us with their beautiful music tonight. So many great acts where present and we had to work very hard to get them all on and off stage in a timely and well mixed fashion. Started off the evening by doing a bit of Hal2000 style impro to set the mood while everyone was turning up, and with a little help from Martin at the end. Then for the rest of the evening it was non stop experimental action from start to finish and one of the most enjoyable nights ever! Tonight we had first time appearances by Lee, Eddie, Jane, Matua and Daniel, and Dave Eldridge. Apologies to Jane for not getting the mix right on her act. Will do better next time!

What a great night. Plenty of rocking good fun and a great atmosphere with everyone taking away a great big smiling face at the end of the night !! Tonight featured: Brenden and I doing Split Enz, Zelda, Martin, Neil, Tohe, Ken Cooper, Carl Perkins, Shannon and even Laurie got up for a song. It was a great honour to have Carl come along to do some drumming, and Ken's great drumming early in the night also deserve special mention and many thanks. Yaaaayyyy!

Lot's o fun as usual and lots o talent to boot. Was very pleased to be joined this evening by Neil, Cathryn, Cat, Martin, Brenden, Vince, Zelda. Tonights surprise impromptu was provided by audience member Vic. Brenden and I aired our new Split Enz set for the first time with mixed results. Enjoyed trying out some more Divinyls stuff with Cath.

Had a really great night tonight. Evan was there providing excellent support all night. Martin came for about an hour at the start of the night. Neil from last week came again with his beautiful ibanez. Tohe came along and did more great singing for us. Cathryn came along for some more excellent jamming and brought her good friend Cat. Audience member Scotty got up and joined in the fun. Will and Candy were there too and though they did not play they told us they were getting married next weekend. They also told us brother Scott had moved away to Orange. Dee let us jam on a bit later than normal due to the holiday tomorrow. All in all everyone had a great time and we just played and played and played to our hearts content. Great jam at the end of the night with some cool impro by Tohe. Yaaaay!

Had an awesome night tonight! We were treated to the fabulous Cathryn, Queeny and Erin along with fellow Meetupper Tommy who took photos and eventually got up for his first open mic, plus we had the pleasure of first time Music Labber Neil joining in on the jamming. Other luminaries included Martin Smith and Ken Cooper who provided excellent support throughout the night. Dave turned up early, got all setup, but then had to go early after getting a phone call.

A quiet evening. No Martin - looking after Alexander. Just Evan and I and Vince on vocals. Also had James and Hairy in the audience for most of the evening. Set up early. Discussed workshop idea with Vince and Evan.

A very interesting night for the first Music Lab of 2011. James, Jamie, Cathryn, Evan, Martin, Ken, Tohe all turned up. Also met pleasant crowd member John. Did lots of fun jamming with all. James and Jamie butted heads at the end of the night which cut everything a bit short. Proving once again that it seems musicians are indeed usually a passionate bunch of people. Ahhh well. Anyway - here's to the festive season!!
